i was thinking, it seems like everyone hates all the popular kids in my school. so how are they popular?

Because all the popular kids only think they're popular. Truth is, everyone hates them, because most of the time, they're all stuck up, snotty, hateful people.

They only appear to be popular because they have a larger group of friends, yet all you seem to hear is one of them bitching about the other.

i my school all the cheerleaders r popular bcuz they are considered beautiful and special, and because of that they act like they are better than evry1 else, which explains why everyone hates them

the popular kids at my school annoy me. whenever they see me sitting in the corner keeping to myself they come over and put their arms around me and be like "hey whats UP sarah!" kind of to poke fun at how im always withdrawn from everyone and never talk. and theres 3 in particular who make fun of me for being a freak and call me a "tall and freakishly ugly btich that looks like avril lavigne" yeah.. i hope they die.

It's not always cheerleaders, really, I think that's just a stereotype. Lots of the cheerleads at my school are fat and have unibrows

Lots of the people just think they're cool because they're rich and can afford all these nice clothes and crap. But it's true, a lot of the people who are considered to be "popular" just bitch a lot of the time.

Yup. Most of the "popular" kids in my school live in a place called The Summit, which is neighborhood with huge expensize houses. And most of their fathers are either lawyers or doctors who will but their daughters anything they ask for.

So basically, they're spoiled brats.

I know how you feel. The guidence counsler sent these girls over to me at lunch once [because I usually sit by myself and don't talk to anyone] and made them talk to me. It was so stupid. If I want to talk to someone, I'll get up and do it myself. And yesterday, this kid kept iming and saying "why aren't you out with your friends?" Jerk.

I sit with friends at lunch, but they're kind of juust aquaintences, really. I don't even talk to them all that much. It's my fault, too, because it's so hard for me to talk to people. Once in science these girls were saying how you couldn't get a word out of me...not to be mean or anything, but you can't.

Taking prozac for that but it only helps slightly...

that is so ****ing stupid. i would have chewed out the counselor. if anyone at my school talks to me that isnt my friend or brother, i just stare at them or respond with one syllable. i always stay as far away as i can from them and refuse to work in teams.

thats how i am with most of my friends. i sit at their table and just kind of listen to them. for one thing theyve hurt me alot in the past, thats why i just like 2 of them because they were the only ones not involved.
