I know we are all kind of biased when it comes to Seinfeld, but in your honest opinion, is Seinfeld the greatest sitcom ever. I mean yeah, the show is very funny, but there are other things that make me believe it is. Ever since the show aired there have been several companies that have tried to market some of the show's ideas.
For instance, Kramer's idea for a beach scented perfume, a bakery selling muffin tops only and several others that I can't think of right now. Seinfeld did all that. It created other aspects of Pop culture. What do you guys think? |

The greatest... sitcom wise?
I think so. I think it virtually developed a sein-esque sitcom writing style. There are no other sitcoms I have ever been such a kook about

I agree. It's amazing, because shortly after I got into it, I realized that most of my friends hate the show with a passion, and find Jerry himself unfunny. I don't let that bother me, because everyone's different, and some of the stuff they like, you couldn't pay me to sit and watch.
I'll never forget one friend told me - "Tonight I did something I regret, I actually sat down and watched 'Seinfeld'." And another close college buddy remarked on the evening of his wedding - "I can't believe the first show I'm watching as a married man is 'Seinfeld'." I never listen to them. A big part of maturity is knowing what you like, and being big enough to not be swayed by peer pressure. OK, I'm off my soapbox now. Seinfeld Rules! |

I don't think I started watching 'Seinfeld'..until I was 11-12 years old..hehe. I used to watch 'Wings' a lot with my mom, but she'd switch to 'Seinfeld' often, and it took an episode or tow to get hooked. My parents didn't seem like they ever minded me watching it! Haven't looked back since. For a while, we'd have "family Seinfeld". Watch 'Seinfeld' while we eat dinner.

To be honest, I don't know how I got hooked. It just "happened."

All I really care is what I think.
And Seinfeld is one of the 3 best sitcoms ever. (those 3 being Seinfeld, Cheers, and Frasier) Ohh and about Friends.... Im sick of it! Its WAY overrated. And its taking the thunder away from the far superior comedy also leaving this year.... Frasier. |
