Sequel to The Graduate - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I still haven't seen the Graduate, I can't get it in the video rental store- I might just buy it to see- I hear it's great, plus- Katharine Ross is a great actor.

Anyway, today I was going through the showbiz news on Sky Interactive, and I read an article about Jennifer Aniston. Basically it was talking about her movie career and how that, now Friends has ended- she asks for $6 million per film, double to what she used to get. But the article also said although some of her early films weren't popular, that The Good Girl, Along Came Polly and Bruce Almighty have done extremely well.

Now- the big part! The article said that Aniston is getting many offers for different films- and she may be starring in a sequel to The Graduate, as a girl who finds out her Grandmother was Mrs Robinson- and finds out about her 'exploits'.

A sequel to "The Graduate????"

I can't believe there is going to be a sequel to one of the best movies ever and I don't mean this as a good thing.

Yeah, I've always thought that when a sequel is done to a movie, many years apart- it's never that good. From the sounds of the plot, they're just going to use 'The Graduate' name to get more money- they'd be safer of just making a comedy where a woman find out her granny slept with tonnes of men younger than her (though it doesn't sound very good)- instead of profiting from the original. Also, Dustin Hoffman is doing a car advert for Audi, playing his character from the graduate. I wonder if Hoffman and Katharine Ross will return for the sequel?

Also, on another note- according to The Daily Mirror, SUPERGIRL is getting a remake, and according to a hollywood insider- Sarah Michelle Gellar is being seriously considered. I didn't like the original, looking back- it was an obvious attempt to make money off of Superman. But, if they're gonna remake it- Sarah Michelle Gellar would be a good choice. 2 others that were considered were Cameron Diaz and Brittany Murphy.
