"Stand In for Murder"

As anybody seen this episode of "The Honeymooners" called "Stand In for Murder"? It was not a "Classic 39" episode, it was a 2-part "Lost" episode I believe. I saw that on WPIX a few days ago since it was on at 4:00 AM. I watched it on my new DVR.

Was that the episode where Gleason plays two roles? One was Kramden obviously and the other was a mob boss?

Was it ever remade for the color eps.? I heard this was not a 2 parter but it ran overtime and the next week Jackie tried to explain how it ended

First, the original version, first aired April 17, 1954, did run overtime, and since it was so detailed and convoluted it was divided into two parts for half-hour formatting when the Lost Episodes were added to the Honeymooners pot alongside the Classic 39. Second, it was indeed remade in color - in 1967, as "The Two Faces of Ralph Kramden." That version finished on time. It has been shown on AmericanLife TV. Photos of Gleason rehearsing for this later version (wherein he wore a red sweater with "Gleason's Gorgeous Clams" emblazoned on the back) turned up on the covers of some of his later Capitol albums, i.e. Doublin' In Brass and Tenderly.
