Overall not my favorite collection of tunes by a mile but some are OK:
Wouldn't Have Missed it for the World- He has much better songs than this one, but at least someone like him was selling records then Key Largo, Through the Years, Leader of the Band, Cool Night- all not too bad mellow pop That Girl, Turn Your Love Around- liked them much more in 1982 than I do now, not dreadful, but both artists have done so much better I Can't Go for That- didn't like this at all in 1982 but that wacked out beat has become classic Love in the First Degree- not too atrocious Waiting for A Girl Like You- the official shift this group made from AOR to MOR. OK but has a druggy sort of quality to it, like they were high as kites when they cut it. Let's Groove- artistically the best one in the top 40 and stands up to the passage of time. Overall the list is not too good. Like the nation was on drugs at the time. |
