Default I hope this Beyonce rumor is not true

Well Beyonce won a Grammy. She got to preform with music royalty at the Grammys. She is weather your like her or not you have to admit she is the top female star in music. What will she do for an encore? Let's hope this rumor is not true.

There is a rumor going around that Beyonce, on her next solo album, might do a duet with Britney Spears. From Prince to Britney Spears, talk about a major downgrade in talent. I have to ask this, why is Beyonce consider this? She does not need Britney.

She is what Britney use to be, the top female star in music, and has something Britney never did, Grammys and respect from her peers. Beyonce is already a crossover star. She has fans of all color, so this will not get her any new fans.

This rumor is coming from the Britney camp, we all know why Britney wants to do this. She wants to ride the coattails of someone who is more talented than her.

The only reasonable reason for Beyonce to do this, is to make herself sound even better. It is the vocal equivliant of standing next to an ugly person to make yourself look more attrative. Compaired to Britney, Beyonce could be considered the greatest singer of all time.

I heard this rumor too, maybe Beyonce just wants to reach a bigger audience since Britney has more fans, and is more successful.

Beyonce and Matthew Knowles are shady and corruptive enough to do that. Why do you think Beyonce was paired up with less talented people in Destiny's Child?... Why do you think Beyonce/Matt kicked out 3 DC members?... It's because Beyonce felt threatened by them.

Beyonce KNOWS that her vocal abilities don't compare to Britney's... if she does do a duet with her it WILL BE to make herself look and sound better!... I bet Beyonce wouldn't do a duet with Christina Aguilera... she will blow Beyonce out of the water.

Matthew is shady. I'm not happy at all about Latavia & Latoya being kicked out the group.

I know. I like Michelle, but L&L were the original members... as for Pharrah, she bugged the hell out of me. I'm glad she's gone.

I'd rather her sing with Britney than have another orgy of special rap star guests like she did on Dangerously. I was really disapointed that she sold out and went in that direction, when it's not like she needed a career boost in the first place (which is the reason a lot of pop and r&b singers bring rappers in... to be more popular)

What other rapper did she have on her cd besides Jay-Z? Sean Paul is a reggae artist so i wouldn't consider him a rapper. Farrah Franklin is a video ho now LOL. I've seen her in the black magazines The Source & Smooth recently. She's trying to look sexy dressed half naked talkin about she's working on a new solo cd which nobody is gonna buy hahahahahahahahahahaha.

well, I loved her in Destiny's Child, but I avoided buying the album as the first two singles were both collaborations, and neither Me Myself and I or Dangerously In Love (which I didn't like when DC did it either) impressed me at all. I don't just hate r&b/hip hop collabs but I also hate pop/rock collabs too. I do think the occasional duet can be great, but too many of todays artists rely too much of collaborating with other artists. Whatever happened to the days when artists could score hits on their own? People ridiculed the likes of MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice and Tone Loc from the "old-school" days of rap, but all 3 of those were able to score success ON THEIR OWN without the aid of a "special guest vocalist".

Wasn't so much the fact who Beyonce worked with for the album, but the fact that she'd had so much success with Destiny's Child without feeling the need to work with other artists, then she follows the trend of collaborations when she was doing fine without it.

I hope Janet's cd does well because hers looks like the album that could finally end this "collaboration" trend that's ruining music IMO, since her cd is supposed to be 90% duet-free.

Funny you mention trend. Because right now Beyonce is putting real talent back to music. She took a big step at the Grammys, of putting an end to Britney Spears and the whole manufature lipsynic pop of the late 1990's trend. Britney is almost buired, don't pull her out now Beyonce.

I would agree with Beyonce having talent, if she wasn't playing into the "collaboration" trend which is what I think has destroyed music in the past few years (once again proving my theory that Jennifer Lopez is responsible for the downfall of civilization, she made the collaboration popular). I know you're sleeping with Jay-Z, doesn't mean all your fans want to hear him on your cd. Does John Lennon and Yoko Ono ring a bell? just because you're in love with someone doesn't mean your fans want to hear you singing with them.

actually, radio is embracing Britney better this album around than her last one. Toxic is shaping up to being her biggest hit single than Stronger.

I don't like Britney, but the only thing that truly seperates Britney and Beyonce is that Beyonce has a voice and Britney doesn't, they are both manufactured, and they will both do whatever it takes to sell a record (Beyonce working with Jay-Z, Britney kissing Madonna, and doing a quicky marriage to boost attention). Christina is more talented than either of them IMO, even tho I do think she's a little too slutty

exactly, if you want a truly talented young r&b singer, look at someone like Alicia Keys or Res. The only thing Beyonce has is a determined father. I don't see how a Beyonce fan can bash Britney. Especially now. I would rather have Toxic and Me Against The Music to Dangerously In Love and Me Myself And I. I'd never in a million years buy either album, but I'd buy IN THE ZONE before considering Beyonce's piece of crap.
