Talking New man on the boards

I was sick last weekend and pulled all my old original videotapes out and got all misty watching old HOTC episodes. It was the best few days I have spent on the couch in a long time.

I got nostaligic, surfed onto this message board and just had to join. Chubby Hollars to all. Seems like you have a lot of fun reminising about how sitcoms were fun back in the 80's. I miss the old days!!!

Hi! And welcome to the board lol I'm kinda newish too lol, joined in oct. Sorry to hear you were sick tho, hope your feeling better! Yeah watching my HOTC tapes always makes me feel better and is so much fun too! I really miss HOTC and the old days and the good old tv shows they used to have on back then too! I wish they'd rerun HOTC on tv again soon. Wow thats so awesome that you taped HOTC when it orginially aired??! Do you actually have every episode of the series? I wish I had done that too, but I didn't think of it then, I was only 9 yrs old at the time lol. But I'm SO glad that I have almost the whole series now, I think I'm only missing like 16 eps or something lol. Anyway its such a great show!

I probably have the first 4 seasons on tape. When Howard Hessman left the show I was in college and didn't get as many of them on tape. I was a high school Sophmore when the series first aired so I am getting up there in age .

The first three season with the original cast were the best IMHO. I hated it when Leslie Bega and Jory Husain left the show.

Hi! Sorry for responding back so late, internet problems suck lol. I agree that the first 3 seasons of the show were the best with the original cast. And I also hated it when some of the original cast left too. Now that I've seen most of season 4 and some of season 5 and have gotten to know the new characters, those episodes have grown on me too and I like them too lol. LOL I was 9 yrs old when HOTC first started, and I was just about to START high school when the show already ended lol! Even tho I was pretty young when it was on, but I really loved the show then too. I've also really enjoyed watching it again now since I didn't remember alot of the episodes.

Thats SO cool that you have the first 4 seasons on tape! Do you have the really rare episodes that not many people have that Nick @ Nite didn't air, like "Cold Turkey" from the first season? Thats the ONLY one I'm missing from season 1! and I'd LOVE to see it somehow if you ever wanted to trade or something? I have all of season 2, but Other ones I'm missing are from season 3 - "Back in the U.S.S.R", "Get a Job", "Born to run", "first Date", "Arvid's sure thing", "Scuttlebutt", "Little shop till you drop 1 & 2". And from season 4 I'm missing - "Why Ronnie can't read", "Reel Problems", & "Recruitment day". I DO HAVE "The Bright stuff #1" but the ending is cut off, and I also have "The Joker is wild" but I'm missiing like 1 min at the end when something funny happens and I don't get to see it lol, so I'd love to get those 2 eps over again lol. And there's some episodes from season 5 I'm missing - do you have any from season 5 on tape, especially the very last episodes of the series? Let me know if you have any of the episodes that I'm missing and if you'd ever want to do a trade or anything lol?
