Question Unknown E-Mail

Has anyone ever recieved an e-mail from someone they don't know?
I'm not talking about Spam, I'm talking about an e-mail from a person who obviously thinks you are someone else.

Today i got an e-mail from a guy apologizing to his band mates for missing last night's practice jam. I didn't recognize the sender's name or anyone the message was cc'd to.

I also occasionally get e-mails from a group of co-workers who discuss meetings and projects they have to work on.

I am thinking about letting them know I'm on thier mailing list by mistake, but what kind of team player would I be if I miss any important meetings?

Anyone else get any online "wrong numbers?"

Yah, I got one the other day, but this person obviously knew me, or thought they did. It said something like, "HEY!! I HAVE A FRIEND NAMED LEAH TOO, YOU SHOULD EMAIL HER SOMETIME...THE ADDRESS IS crazyleah123@hotmail.com" I was a little worried at first that it might be that worm, but I really don't think it was...

Not that I can recall, but people sometimes accidentally send emails to my Hotmail address...My name's Allison and I know quite a few other Allisons, so, yeah...but I have strict filters set up in Hotmail..so I never get them anyway.

There's this one time that I specifically remember. You see...somewhere out there, there's this girl who seriously has the exact AIM screen name as I do..except she has one extra number on hers. It's pretty scary. Anyway, last summer I was online and suddenly I got this IM and it said "omg the movies were sooooo much fun today!" and I was pretty confused..because I didn't even go to the movies that day. So I asked who they were and they were like "stop kidding around you know who i am i'm on your ice skating team!!" and I was really really confused, besides I don't even do ice skating...then so I kept on talking to this person and then finally they called me "Lauren"..thats when I knew they meant someone else and then they told me they put her screen name down wrong in their buddy list lol. This actually happened a few more times...more of her friends IMed me thinking I was her....odd.
