I don't know why, but for some reason I find it very funny when Lowell gets REALLY mad at Joe and lashes out at him!
While Lowell had a very valid reason for getting angry at Joe in "The Tennis Bum" (Joe had NO business playing around with Lowell's model), there are other times (and that's MOST of the time) when Lowell is completely off-base and mistakenly thinks that Joe is doing something bad to him (trying to replace Lowell with a new mechanic, having an affair with Bunny, etc.), when nothing of the sort is actually happening. Lowell is hilarious as he suddenly "turns ugly" and starts yelling at Joe, accusing him of terrible things and calling him all kinds of names, etc....and Joe just stands there with this stunned "What in the world are you TALKING about?" expression on his face...and then when Lowell realizes that he's mistaken, he goes back to his "nice guy" personality with a calm "Oh, then never mind" attitude....Those are some of my favorite "Lowell" moments! |

It's not surprising that you got a reply so quickly. Alot of us are on here pretty often, so the posts are frequent, which is great. It's certainly not boring. There are alot of interesting things that are talked about. |

One of my favorite Lowell-Joe scenes was where Lowell asked to be evaluated by Joe. When Joe says "You tend to be a little slow with the paperwork." Lowell goes off. "I don't have to sit here and take this from you." Lowell: And another thing, Mr. Quick-with-the-Paperwork. That crack about my paperwork was a cheap shot. and then later: "Watch it Fay. He's in a mood." |

Thomas Haden Church really did a good job at giving Lowell borderline personality disorder . Lowell certainly does the on/off thing with his emotions, sometimes for no reason! |
