are there any other Roswell fans in here? I know that it was TVShowsOnDVD's #1 most requested show for a long time before Fox finally heard our demands.
Who else is getting season 1 next week? I still hear rumors about them making it into a movie. Any other word on that? |

I loved the series ROSWELL. At least, it ran for three seasons (would like to
have seen more). Right now, I am reading the "ROSWELL HIGH" novels that inspired the show. I think it was a stupid decision placing ROSWELL opposite SMALLVILLE. I think that's what killed it. We shouldn't have to choose between two series revolving around an alien from outer space trying to fit in on earth. (By the way, Jason Behr (Max Evans) was one of the actors being considered to play Superman/Clark Kent in next year's movie "SUPERMAN RETURNS." I think he would have been a good choice.) |

Roswell is one of my favorite shows ever! Jason Behr and Shiri Appleby are two of the most talented actors on TV. Katherine Heigl is also wonderful. It was an awesome show. Season one and Three are the best. Two was okay.

I remember hearing rumors about a Roswell movie, but not I think it's likely not happening considering Katherine Heigl is doing so well on Grey's Anatomy

I heard rumors about a Roswell Movie too, but I don't want it to happen. I think they should just leave great work alone....Katherine is doing great on Grey's Anatomy. She's my favorite character on that show. And we can't forget how good Emilie De Ravin (Tess) is doing over on LOST.

Some of my random thoughts:
Roswell never was a ratings powerhouse, especially with the 2 timeslot's in 2 seasons that The WB gave it. (Wednesdays at 9, following "Dawson's Creek" - and Mondays @ 9, following "7th Heaven"), but it sure had a rapid fanbase........A really great show. Brilliantly acted. Great writing. Seasonal story arcs. Relationships. Love. Sex. Scifi. And how can I not mention that one Nelly Fortato performance, haha. And not to mention, the first and probably only show to actually bring tears to my eyes....I remember seeing all those heavily played promos in the summer of 1999. I watched the show every single week, from the Pilot through about episode 16 or so of Season 2. I don't even remember why I stopped watching. I watched 3 or 4 episodes when the show went to UPN in 2001 (Season3), but I was completely lost....I got each DVD set on the very day they came out, and saw what an ******* I was because I stopped watching years ago. Along with "Buffy", "Alias" and "Lost", the Roswell sets are my most watched DVD's. One of the best shows ever, IMO. |
