Post OVERRATED NANCY

I am on the board for the first time in months, and it amazes me how crazy people are for Nancy. Get a life folks, she does not act like Sandra Bullock(let alone Meryl Streep). Nor is she the most successful FOL alumni, let alone the most talented, or in particular, the most beautiful. SHERRIE' AUSTIN wins those two titles hands down. And her cop show is like watching grass grow. Anyone who wants to see a strong woman(and from a guy's point of view, great legs) check out Catherine Bell on JAG. And one more thing, Jo fans, the one with the real heart is BLAIR, who kept Jo in school in episode 58, and who saved Eastland(207-208)

I totally agree w/ you sudden blow!!
I really like Nancy too.
I did not edit this just had to add something.
We dont look at her like you said in that "from a guys point of view" comment.
We do view her as a young girls role model.
Hey this could change next week get a life. It probably wont though.

Listen I am not trying to be rude but our opinion is our opinion and yours is yours if you have some problem with us liking Nancy than please keep it to yourself because I think I speak for the majority when I say that Nancy is great, talented and pretty. If you dont think that its fine with me but isnt okay for you to insult people that way if someone said that about me Id be hurt. And she would be too if she knew you did.

k i have a feelin a fights gonna come out of this. and im not trying to be annoyin..im tryin to be a peace maker! hehe...now i think we can all settle this in a few small words. to start, nancy was and still is a great actress. for those of you who feel she is over-rated please keep it to yourself. i understand that you want to express your opinion and i have nothing against that or what you are saying. i just think that this board would be a happier place without fights and i really hope im not starting one by writing this post! i'll stop now..i don't want people to be mad at me or nething.

Trying not to overreact but that was not very nice.. some people haven't even seen seasons 9 yet, so how will they know about Sherrie? And there has been posts on Blair..It's because Jo is most of our favorite character so there are more posts on her and even if you don't like her you could have found a better way to say it such as "In my opinion..", "I hope I am not offending anyone.." or something like that, and I happen to like The Division, and it's not like watching grass grow!!!!

Ur entitled to your opinion but I think you could be a little nicer... Nancys a real person... Not one of thoes tv starz who talk about thier wasted life... ANd no offense, who gives a damn about her legs??? Is that the only reson you watch the show? Nancy ROX the division and FOL (or) FOJ and every one of her many movies!

SO DONT YOU BE BAD MOUTHIN' MRS JAC... MRS MCKEON!

I agree that Nancy McKeon is a bit overrated, but saying mean and nasty things about her, is not the way to go. I like Nancy.

Ditto! That was unnecesary(sp). There are other ways to say how you feel without being nasty. Nancy may not be my favorite but I do like her.

I totally agree with Kerri (aka: Blair n' Jo Rock). BTW, NYGEORGESTRAIT, Blair saved Eastland in episodes 208 and 209.

That was hilarious! Kudos to you! No one has ever had the guts to say that so harshly at this board.
Even though I may agree with you that Nancy McKeon is overrated ( only at this message board), I highly disagree that Sherrie Austin is the most biggest 'star' out of the 'facts'.
Hello! Kim Fields. Does that name ring a bell?
Besides whatever I think about the wasted hoopla over Nancy at this board, she still made a hell of a character out of Jo.

Just had to say so again!
TO the first message:that was so rude to say that about Nancy. Lots of people really admire her. As i do. Look what she has done w/ her life. No matter what you say people will still support her, so what you said really doesnt matter. It just really upset me personally.

O-o-okay... I bet you feel better after getting that off your chest. <grin>

Before anyone pounces on NYGEORGE for voicing a dissenting opinion -- let's remember the purpose of message boards. Sharing ideas and thoughtful communication.

NYGEORGE -- I can agree with parts of your post. I would exchange "overrated" for "overexposed"... at least on this board. The Nancy talk has really reached a fever pitch here lately. But, that's to be expected since we're here for the Facts. <grin>

That means we'll all have our favorites. Pippa, Blair, Jo -- whatever! I'm tickled that you've got a place to cheer Sherrie's exploits.

Don't dig the Division? Prefer Blair to Jo? That's cool.To each his own.

As I recall, Sandra Bullock had a sitcom (Working Girl) in 1990 and it didn't last past season one. Just goes to show you that you never can tell who's gonna make it on the big screen. *Maybe* someday it'll be McKeon or your fave Sherrie.

Who knows?! <grin>
