Post My thoughts @ N@N...

In my opinion N@N has lost all it's focus. Everyone on this board is upset b/c FOL is'nt on during the summer (myself included) and we all agree it got shafted during it's run. But I just don't understand where NAN's head is at w/ ALL it's programing.
The summer blocks are a tradition at NAN (I was never crazy about the idea though) but why did they pick the shows they did?
Lucy - a great show. I'm a huge fan. But, since it's moving to TVL in the fall it would have been smarter to drop it for the summer and then do a big relaunch in the fall.
Andy G. - another great show. But, it's on TVL already. If you get TVL (like me, and I know how lucky I am) you can see this every day already.
Three's company, Jeffersons, All in the Family - great shows that don't belong on NAN. They are NOT kid's shows. NAN is supposed to be a 'family' type of channel. I don't think these shows belong on NAN. They could/should be moved over to TVL after say 9pm.
Brady's - the ONLY show that I think NAN has on at a good time slot (8:30) and is a great family show.
FOL - it's a real shame that they never treated it w/ any respect. It was never allowed to find it's audience.
I thought I read somewhere that Nick is going to start targeting a 'teen' audience w/ a block of shows for them. I think FOL would be perfetct there.

Thanks for listening - I just had to vent..............................

Aut., NAN is an 70's/80's network. So Three's Company, All in the Family, and The Jeffersons fit in. And FOL did get a lot of attention:

The Opening Marathon
The Blair Tootie Project
FOL Tuesday on Totally 80's Sunday
The One Day Sunday Marathon

Though I agree that ILL, Andy G., and The Brady Bunch should not be shown since they have been overplayed. But I still think Diff'rent Strokes and Three's Company should be in the Summer Line up, Since they have had less marathons then other shows:

Diff'rent Strokes: Totally 80's
Totally 80's Sundays
Week With The Drummonds
Diff'rent Strokes Thursdays

Three's Company- Opening Marathon
TC Tuesdays

(At least, that's what I remember)

AGREED 100% They should all be on TV LAND. Nick shows should be family oriented and children-friendly.

If I were in charge of N@N, FOL and DF would be getting the biggest pushes.

What is DF? I think you mean DS- Diff'rent Strokes. And you no, this board is real neagative toward other shows. Not everyone likes FOL. A lot of people born in the late 80's/early 60's wouldn't have watched as much. FOL never got an American ICON award, has it?
This show has been forgotten by a lot of people, I hate to say. Just because the FOL board is big, doesn't mean anything. Exc. howmany here have that Neilson thing on their televisons? Not many. And networks don't care what shows they air as long as they get good ratings.
Also, on the Three's Company thing- It's a VERY innocent show, compared to most shows. They taught some Facts of life- They prevented what they thought was a suicide (but really RF trying to get attention), turned in what they thought was drugs.

There are only two controversioal episodes of TC, but nearly 20 of FOL. Does that tell you something?

All my friends at school barely watch FOL, but they do watch TC, DS, and The Brady Bunch. FOL seems to appeal more to girls then boys (At School Levels That Is)at my school, and barely any of them watch it.

The Jeffersons and All in the Family also teach some of the facts of life- Prejudice is stupid, gangs are bad, etc.

I am a teenager and I love old shows as well as new shows. However, I don't get the fuss of Diff'rent Strokes. The show was interesting to watch forlike the first 5 episodes, after that the novelty wore off and it was stupid. However, I would much rather see Diff'rent Stokes then Three's Company.

I don't know that, and did not watch it (Didn't know it was airing). But I do know that in a lot of threads it says Schedule For Nick at Nite After FOL One Day Marathon.

Yes, I DID mean D.S. Thanks you.

As for controversial episodes on FOL...there is NO rule that says controversy can't be suitable for a family entertainment.

There's nothing wrong with Three's Company or any of the other shows on Nick. However, I DO believe that FOL is more children/family-friendly than 3C. Which it why I'd give it more of a push than 3C.
