Question Why Did Desi Arnaz Jr. Leave Here's Lucy?

Why did Desi Arnaz Jr. leave Here's Lucy?? I have heard and read different things like his drug problem had something to do with it and another him dating Patty Duke, who supposedly Lucille Ball didn't like all too well.

Why really did Desi Arnaz Jr. leave Here's Lucy after just 3 seasons on the show??? Him and Lucie Arnaz and Lucy were great together.

He had to keep refusing movie parts that were offered him as he was quite a lothario matinee idol, like his dad. He finally said yes to the movies and only came back for the one show. It wasn't the Patty thing at all, but why wouldn't Lucy have reservations about a lady who said Desi jr was the father of her child and then leave him after a few years of gossip magazines publicity to marry someone she had just met a week before? Yes, she was very gravely mentally ill, and Lucy protected her son as he was only 17 when they met and fell in love. By the way, it has just been resolved that Desi jr was NOT the father, DNA tests just proved it wasn't him or even the one she said it was John Astin of Addams Family fame, but rather someone else, Mike Tell.

Sean Astin is currently in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and starred in the film Rudy. Quite handsome, no wonder they all thought he was Desi's son.

Yeah, typical hollywood i guess. But i saw him on Larry King last night and his brother MacKenzie in a B film yesterday. Regardless of how i feel about Patty Duke, she sure seems to have done a great job with her kids. I don't know why Patty is surprised at how Lucy acted, and feel that Patty would act the same way one day if the same thing happened to one of her sons.

No, he's Patty Duke and Mike Tell's son, but John raised him, and Sean feels he has THREE DADS because Desi jr kept in contact with him also, as he didn't know for sure if he was his dad ir not!
