Sometimes they look brown or hazel, though.

Her eyes are green, usually an aqua green or mint green color, sometimes a greenish-blue color. Yes they do mutate in color at times, sometimes turning gray or silver in color. and turning a hazel color at dusk and gray in the night shade. But I don't know where someone got that her eyes were brown. They may have looked brown because of color tinting on the camera. And yes, I've seen those eppisodes, and I've also noticed that Mrs. Garrett, whose natural eyes are a true blue color, were also brown in color on those eppisodes. Blair's eyes had to have taken the coloring damage on those eppisodes the worst because the cameras made blairs eyes turn a dark black color. Blair Warner usually has chestnut (brown with a reddish glow and small yellowish-greenish flecks) colored eyes. And yes, chestnut is brown, it's just a glowing type of brown.

Let me tell you all a little trick with camera works. this little tecknick is called color tinting. You can actually make even the man or woman with the bluest eyes ever turn brown, yes brown. while keeping the other colors near intact. Ask anyone whose seen old versions of Sixteen Candles, old versions of The Breakfast Club. Both movies starred Anthony Michael Hall on them. AMH's natural eye color is green, just like Nancy McKeon's, sometimes turning blue. Guess what, the bad coloring on both those movies made AMH's eyes appear brown, and an icky brown at that. And that as well as FOL aren't the only ones with the color difficulties. Look at M*A*S*H*. It has suffered such color difficulties in the past, and you can still see it at times on Hallmark and FX channels. Major Frank Burns has such true blue eyes. yet at times, the color problems has made even his blue eyes look brown. It just seems that Facts of Life suffered it even worst .

Plus the dark looking rooms Jo was in, too.

Let's just hope if they release Facts of Life on DVD, they remaster the colors and redo it right, just like they did on M*A*S*H*. And that it ain't some cheap, rushed copy. Just maybe, we'll see Jo's true eye color on those earlier eppisodes. Only time will tell.

"And I thought when I seen Nancy McKeon when she was 14 and holding that baseball bat on a clip on her Lifetime intimate portrait last Monday that her eyes were a bluish color, maybe bluish-green or violet. And that was when I only seen the commershial for it."

Nancy McKeon is actually one of those rare few whose eye color can naturally change between green to turquoise to blue to violet(blueish-purple), to gray and silver. If you don't beleive me, just watch Poison Ivy(1985 version), High School USA(1983), and The Lighning Incident(1991). On some scenes of High School USA DVD version, her eyes are a greenish-silver-gray. On other scenes, they are a greenish-blue, yet on other scenes, they are a violet and indego color(both bluish-purple). and on the last scene where She finally gets ready to dance with MJF, her eyes were a silver or shiny gray color. On the Lightning Incedent, her eyes would go from bright green to turquoise to dark green color. And on one scene, it was a dark grayish-green. And yes, green eyes do have the tendency to change colors, and people with green eyes have sworn that their eyes were other colors as well, to even include hazel. If any of you out there are green eyed as well, do they change colors at times, to lets say gray or silver during the day, hazel(light brown with tinges of green or gold) at sunset(dusk), and gray in the evening shade? Nancy's does. Does your green eyes get some kind of clear brownish or honey colored clowd-like discoloring at times? It's a true green eyed trait, ya know. It's called color mutation. It happens to Milla Jojovich and Nancy McKeon both. It's even said to occur to Heavy Metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. Bet ya didn't know that, did ya. His eyes, I'd have to say, are the closest to resembling Nancy McKeon's eyes. When his mutates in color, he looks very wicked.

Here's a small pic of Nancy McKeon that can be downloaded into your picture file. Up close, you can actually see her green eyes with the honey-colored clowd floating overtop her iris. A definite green eyed mutation trait. I think this only occurs during sunset due to the sun's pull on the remaining brown pigments. And that's probably why they say that all green eyed people out there has an unusually thick, darkish colored outermost edge on their iris. They say that's where most of the remaining brown pigments is stored during the day.

JM Polnaizchek 15, You're right about the looking brown or hazel.
It's called camera color tinting. You can even make the bluest eyes in Texas look brown. Heck! Ever see the DVD case for the Sylvester Stallone-Kurt Russell movie Tango and Cash? I could have sworn on my soul that on the pic where Kurt Russell was pointing the gun and you could see the light partly hitting one of his eyes, that his eyes were brown. Brown. Or is it just camera light tinting tecnick that can make even the bluest of eyes look brown. If Kurt Russell is a bad victim on certain scenes of Tango and Cash, then Nancy McKeon's pretty green eyes will also fall victim to this color downtinting on certain FOL eppisodes.

Facts:

"With color degrade tinting, you can turn a blue eye brown, but not a brown eye blue."

"Color contacts were invented in 1987, period. The lost Boys was the first movie to utilize them. They were orange with yellow flecks. Blues were the next to come out months later. green didn't come out till even later from the conveyer belts. They became available in either late summer 1987 or late in 1987."

"Jennifer garner uses them on Alias and her Daredevil role of Electra."

"Mike Meyers used Blue for his Dr. Evil role, as well as green contacts for his F@t Ba$t@rd role."

"Did you know Jim Carrey wore green colored contacts on Dumb and Dumberer?"

"Any brown eyed girls want to dress as Jo for halloween 2004 or any other function, all you need is to find a wig that looks like the various hairstyles she wore on Facts of Life. I don't think race even counts. Hey, we could even have a Jo Polnaichec convention where we all dress and look like our favorite FOL'er, Jo. Heck, they do it with Lucille Ball all the time. It's about time that people did the same respect for Jo. Remember, they, sell wigs at wig stores, you just got to look. Then buy a good pair of green colored contacts. Get green fresh looks if you can. Just remember to get your eyes checked first. Remember, this is 2003 going on into 2004. What a new millineum. What a new century. "

I can just think now, hundreds of girls running down the streets of any city, USA, all looking like JO.

You know what would have also been cool? On the final Matrix movie, we see thousands of Jo Polnaichecks vs. thousands of Jinny Exsteads all about to get into a massive royal rumble in the middle of Downtown L.A. Heck, it was just the very area where we seen thousands of Steve Stifflers vs. thousands of Justin Timberlakes on the Matrix Reloaded. If they done making the third installment, which I'm afraid may be the last, it may be to late. But it's a cool thought. What do you fans think.

Sorry if my post may be way to long.

I think I'm gonna go green with envy!

My eyes though are a deep, dark soulful Doo-Doo brown, just like Jennifer Garner and her great unkle James Garner. Icky, icky eww.
Guess those extreme dark browns come from me being part Cherokee and part Choctaw, because my hair is totally dark brunnette to black colored.
