Default 50 Cent walks up on stage...

Whatd everyone think of 50 Cent walking up across stage during Evanescence's 'Best New Artist' award speech? I thought it showed that 50 was being a poor sport.

Evanescence deserved it. 50 Cent shows me nothing and the only reason he got so big was because of his Eminem ties.

One of the reasons I dislike rap is how a lot of hip hoppers are such bad sports whenever someone else wins. This reminds me of the 97 or 98 Grammys when Shawn Colvin won Best Record for Sonny Came Home, and Ol Dirty Bastard rushed the stage talking about what a tragedy it was that some rap song (forgot who it was offhand) lost to Shawn Colvin's song.

And then the way a lot of the rappers were sitting in the audience looking dead bored when White Stripes performed last night. Wow, bet they didn't know that a lot of people feel exactly the same way when we're treated to a Diddyfest on a lot of the awards shows

I heard about that. What a stupid thing to do.

It's called being a gracious loser dude, deal with it.

How do they expect anyone to take the hip hop copmmunity seriously if they throw tantrums when they don't win an award?

Like Amy was gonna let them talk anyways...she said she didn't mind since it took some pressure off of her. Hell, I thought it was funny. He went up there and congratulated them.

Who exactly threw a tantrum? All 50 did was walk on and off the stage. Isn't that in the spirit of rock n' roll anyway? 50 only had the biggest selling album of 2003, he should have been acknowledged with more than just the nominations. No matter though, with Evanescence winning that award, it means we won't be hearing from them much longer.

Why did he do that?

He's a poor sport. He took the moment away from the winner.

Oh, and that's not the spirit of rock and roll. That's posturing B.S.

well, there was Sade, The Beatles, Mariah Carey and The Carpenters who won that award and went on to long-lasting careers.

50 may have sold a lot, but it doesn't mean he's the best. I remember when BSB were the #1 selling act, they didn't win any Grammys. Much like BSB, 50 Cent sold mostly due to MTV/TRL hype. How would you have thought if 50 Cent had won Best New Artist, yet Amy Lee still went up onstage. That's exactly like how Evanescence fans and rock fans in general feel about Fiddy Cent acting about Evanescence's win.
