4. CBS Wants the Show Back

1. The show is still good- biting at its best and silly at its worst, but generally good overall.

2. I think the ratings are more than CBS ever expected- and more.

3. Friends has fallen into it's soap opera tendencies and made most casual fans a little more than uncaring at best.

4. Yes. CBS wants it back because it does get ratings- not because they care about the content- they'd like to think they do, but they don't.

5. Next year could be a good season as long as they don't try and put a stamp on it with some ridiculous ending scenario.

Just go out in style, no divorce or death or some wacked out ending. We've seen enough shows do that.

My mother thought the show might end when Robert got married, but personally I think Amy has to have a kid before they can end the show.

I haven't tired of this show yet. Usually when a show is ending, I'm glad because it's time.

I notice the kids are a little more prominent this season. I hope that's not a sign of more to come. Nothing against kids, but I only enjoy adult comedies. I always gave this show credit for maintaining its adult comedy status while the major players have three kids.

I really thought we would be seeing more of one of my favorite guys, Chris Elliot, after Robert offered him his bachelor apartment.

I really like Chris Elliott, but in this case less is more.
Too much of him would show that he doesn't entirely fit in with the style of ELR.

For Chris Elliott to shine he has to really let loose, like on Get a Life, an underappreciated showcase for his talents.

I loved Get a Life too. I remember Chris Elliot when he was the guy under the audience floor on David Letterman.

I wouldn't want to see a lot of Chris on ELR for the reason you stated, but he's not on at all anymore. I love his appearances. When he and Ray went shirtless, I almost choked laughing.

I'd like a monthly or so dose of nutty Peter.

One more year would be perfect. The show deserves to stand on its own. Sadly, Frasier has been overshadowed by Friends with their finales. One year would be perfect.

I agree with most of you on one thing. After all the things that happened at Robert's wedding, I thought we would be seeing a lot more of Amy's family this year.
