I don't really like the Grammy's, just watching it for Foo Fighters and Evanescense, since they're the only ones I like that'll make an appearance there...at least that's all I can think of.

I was looking forward to Prince as well, after him Outkast. I don't care nearly as much about anyone else performing. Prince opened the show with Beyonce. It was good, but I wished Prince had really let loose and rock out even more than he did.

Prince and Beyonce rocked. Notice no lipsyncing, just pure talent. That is how it is done. To quote Morris Day in the first scence of Purple Rain "Why don't you stay a while, see how it is done." That is what Prince and Beyonce said to the other artists, especially the Britney's of the world.

I am pretty sure part of Prince's backup band, was members of the Revolution. I am pretty sure former Revolution members Dr. Matt Fink, Wendy Melvoin, and Lisa Coleman, were part of Prince's back up band tonight, and fromer Time drummer Jellybean Johnson was Prince's drummer.

Prince did what he always does, kicked ass.

Prince was great.

I don't know what Beyonce is singing right now, but the whole stupid coming out of the painting number is like bad taste and bad music got together and threw up all over the TV.

Whats the point in a dead person winning a damn award? I'm so pissed that Martina lost against a dead woman that couldn't really sing. I don't get the grammys. Seems I say that every year.

I could have cried when Beyonce came out with Prince and practically ruined Baby, I'm a Star, which is one of my favorite songs... oh well, though.

Martina McBride's performance brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely wonderful.

The "dead woman" that you are referring to happens to be June Carter Cash, whom I like very much. In fact, both Johnny and June Carter Cash were legends in country music. I feel that what you said about June Carter Cash was rude and uncalled for. Martina has won many awards and in fact happened to love the Carter family as well. I happen to like Martina McBride a whole lot. She is a great lady with a great husband and 2 daughters.

No, it would have been bigger news if Revolution members got together with Prince to perform. I especially don't think that with the past beef they've had with Prince that Wendy and Lisa would perform with him when all everyone would be talking about is Prince with Beyonce. Any Revolution reunion I think might be more likely for the RnR Hall of Fame or some sort of celebration the closer we get to Purple Rain's 20th anniversary this summer.

Well, I can see a dead person winning an award if they are deserving of it. However, every time someone who has passed away is up for an award, they win! I knew June would win, but it pissed me off, too. I'm sorry, but that clip they played of her song was HORRID. That is not good singing. She may have many other songs that are good, but that certainly isn't one of them. It shouldn't have even been nominated, but of course since she passed away last year, it just had to be.

I agree, I would've rather seen Prince by himself, sans Beyonce

I agree, I understand if she was rooting for Martina (I was rooting for Dolly personally), but to out and out bash June Carter Cash was just wrong. She was a class act and was worthy of the award.
