Default There was only one Jefferson that changed once they left All in the Family, and that

was Lionel. On All in the Family he was respectful and down to earth in the presence of Archie and his parents, but those first season of the Jeffersons he was

Arrogant
Disrespectful
Shallow
Materialistic

Was this the Lionel Jefferson we never saw once he left the Bunkers House on All in the Family?-LOL I never saw Lionel being disrespectful on All in the Family.

That was because Damon Evans took over in the 2nd season. And it was just in the episode,"Lionel the Playboy" is where he was disrespectful towards George and Louise.

I wasn't going to mention Mother Jefferson's character because I knew that you didn't like her.

I never saw him respectful on All in the family! Especially to Archie! He talk down to Archie everytime he said something stupid which he should have done since Archie was ignorant so and so!! I think after he got on The Jeffersons his character lost direction and I don't even wanna talk about that second Lionel !UUUGGGHH!

He always respected Archie. That's why Archie like Lionel so much. Archie was unaware that Lionel was making a fool out of him. But Lionel always gave Archie respect.

Here is a prime exmple.

"Can I call you Uncle Archie"-LOL

I think what really hurt the character of Lionel was having Mike Evans play him, then Damon Evans, then Mike Evans Again. Both actors played Lionel in their own way, that it didn't seem like they were even playing the same character.

I never saw the point of brining in a different guy to play lionel when Mike Evans had played the character for 4 years.

Lionel didn't tell Jenny to go to h***, she told him that and slap him after he told her to run along in the episode in season 1 "Lionel the Playboy".

How can you admit Lionel was making a fool of Archie and say he was respectful? I admit he wasn't disrespectful and loud as George was that's a different style.

He made a fool out of Archie without Archie knowing. Which means he was giving him respect because he was not obvious about it. Now if he was like Mike Stivic then that would be Disrepectful. Lionel was the complete opposite of Mike when communicating with Archie.
