Default How did Doug and Carrie meet?

I've been watching the reruns on UPN and I've seen a episode where Doug and Carrie talk about being in High school together dating. I think that was the episode when Carrie said that 70's song "boogie-oogie-oogie" was there song. Doug had mentioned he asked her out or something and Carrie gave him the finger.

Then later I see a episode that showed them meeting for the first time at a club. Well, Richie met Carrie in the club that Doug was the bouncer at. Richie tells Doug he meet a girl but she had a friend and they were going to meet back at his place. This appeared to be the first time they meet.

Now I'm confused

when did they meet? did they go to school together?

I also saw the episode where Doug was the bouncer and his roomate was Ritchie. Ritchie was dating Carrie I believe and her friend was the blind date. It was a rough episode and Doug and Carrie did not get along. I'm surprised that they ended up getting married.

There is another episode where Doug visits Carrie at her dads house and Florence Henderson is her step mom. I guess it's up to us to put the peices together.

yeah, I saw that epidosde too with Florence Henderson!

this is my guess. they did know each other in high school and Doug tried to hook up with Carrie but she snubbed him. Then many years later they meet again, through Richie. At first they didn't remember each other but eventually they did. That's the only thing I can tell myself that I can believe.

But did they show episodes where they claimed to know each other in high school or was it middle school?

They didn`t go to school together. Richie did meet carrie in a club.

Meet by product #42 season 2 ep, 17

Dark Meat season 3 ep.9 (Florence Henderson) is the one where he met Carrie`s dad for the fist time. Supposedly a couple month`s later.

what about that episode that opens with Doug and Carrie watching TV and then that 70's song comes on. They both dance and Doug goes crazy. They talked about the time Doug asked Carrie to dance or something and she gave him the finger. This whole scene was the 5 min opener. I don't remember what the episode was about.

do you think they are speaking about the time after Doug meet Carrie though Richie?

There is also an episode that I remember vaguely where Doug and Carrie were at camp together as kids and Carrie fell on who she thought was Doug but it was actually his brother??

I saw that episode last night. It was Danny, she fell on Doug's cousin Danny. Doug's parents said he was at fat camp. Oops, football camp. lol

it would be nice if some of the writers of the show could visit to clear this up.
