ALL NEW!
FRASIER NEEDS A NANNY; LAURIE METCALF GUEST STARS -- When Roz (Peri Gilpin) finds out that Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) was once married to child entertainer Nanny G (guest star Laurie Metcalf, "Roseanne"), she begs him to get tickets to the performer's sold out concert for her daughter Alice (Ashley Thomas). The tickets are granted and although Nanny G is remarried, Frasier and his ex-wife must fight off a physical attraction that still exists between them. John Mahoney, Jane Leeves, and David Hyde Pierce also star. TV-PG ------------------------ Laurie Metcalf... that name sounds so familiar....

Is Nanny G supposed to be the same woman that was his hippy first wife(wasn't her name Nannette?) that we saw in "Don Juan in Hell part 2"? Oh, and Laurie Metcalf played Jackie on Roseanne.

This isn't the right Nanny G. Laurie Metcalf did not play her on "Cheers"..it's kinda dissapointing that it wont be the same person...at least I don't think it will be the same person...
anyone wanna check? Because I thought Emma Thompson played her on "Cheers?"

Emma Thompson played the character wonderfully. However, I'm willing to give Metcalf a shot. She was pretty good on Roseanne and the Norm Show.

I would've liked the original actress back.... but bringing back Nanny G is good either way.
And if the advertisement on NBC.com about "A Frasier Wedding Proposal in February" Then you could probably bet that Martin will propose to Ronee on this episode. |

The thing I'm worried about is it looks like Frasier is going to wind up alone.

I just caught last night's episode on tape.
Laurie Metcalf was great. She needs to get a new sitcom. |

I agree, great episode. Laurie was very funny.
I liked the line when she said "Do you have ANY idea what it's like to play the same character for 20 YEARS?" heehee
