Don't want to confuse anyone by bringing this up again, although it will be repeated in July.

I just wanted to say that I saw it and it was very interesting....E! really covered a lot. But there are 2 things I am surprised they did not cover:

1. The fact that Lisa Whelchel originally tried out for the part of Kimberly on Diff'rent Strokes

2. That the reason why Tootie was originally put on roller skates is because she was shorter than the other girls. They skipped this detail- they only mentioned why she was later taken OFF the skates.

It was Felice Schachter (Nancy) that tried out for the part of Kimberly, they mentioned this in the special.

Ok TJ- you're right. And Lisa Whelchel actually tried out for a part on "Hello Larry", right? If I wasn't so sure that I was misinformed- because I believe saw this on some other web site or message board, then I would feel like a bonehead. But I am sure I was misinformed, because I've seen it elsewhere on the net. Could it have been on the old N@N website that I saw this incorrect info about Lisa Whelchel?........

Yes, Lisa Whelchel auditioned for the role of the older daughter on Hello, Larry (she mentioned this on The Jenny Jones Show in 1998). I don't know where you could have read that about Lisa Whelchel - I don't think it was on the Nick at Nite site as I have her bio saved from there, it wasn't entirely accurate as they said she was in every episode when she wasn't in The First Time.
