speaking of products, last time I went to the US, I saw this small store selling MUFFIN TOPS !!! I couldn't help laughing when the woman told me what it was.
If it's common in the US now, please forgive me...

Wouldn't the muffin top be the part that "explodes from the pan, and does it's own thing?" Seems no different than a normall muffin tray, only much smaller muffin stumps.
