Default Question:

Nick at Nite and local stations show different versions of episodes. What my question is, is there a scene in Good Old Reliable Janet where Mrs. Roper and Janet are at the nude beach? My Three's company book shows a photo of a woman in a towel with Mr. Roper and I am guessing that scene was cut on nick at nite. I wish I had local station that showed Three's Company. Please let me know.

Do you mean a woman in a towel with MRS. ROPER? If so than women as far as I know is Janet with Mrs. Roper and they both are in towels that Larry gave them.

HI!
I'm not exactly a Three's Company expert, but it sounds to be that you may have the shows confused. It sounds to me that the scene you're describing is from the show when Mr Roper went to see about buy desert land. If I'm remembering right, there was a party that he called the police on and when the police got there, they caught him with a girl in a towel. She had been sent to his room to try to talk him into signing the contracts for the land.

Hope that helps!

I know it would help if I knew the title of the show, but I don't.
The show I'm talking about opens up with Mrs Roper coming to borrow a suitcase because Mr Roper is going out of town. She asks Janet to come stay with her while he's away because she hates to sleep in the apartment alone. Mr. Roper's trip is really a con to get rid of this land in the desert and the guys selling it are having a party to get everyone to sign the contracts. Everyone is at the party getting drunk out of their minds, and Stanley calls the police to come and break the party up. Then they noticed that he was the only one who hadn't signed on yet, so they set him with a girl ( the same girl comes back as one of Jack's girlfriends later and as the art instructor that has Jack model).

I hope that helps to clear it up.

Perhaps it was Alone Together, the episode you are referring to? Mrs. Roper had pleaded Janet to stay the night with her while Mr. Roper was away, and so Chrissy and Jack were alone together?

Its called. Alone Together I think is ep. #12.

The only Scenes I can remember N@N showing with Mr. Roper and a woman in a towel are:

Alone Together- Mr. Roper, and the woman in the towel on his Business trip

Good ole' Reliable Janet- Mr. Roper, and Mrs. Roper in a towel, and they are entering their apartment.

Stanley the Ladies man- When Janet and Chrissy teach Roper how to dance, and Janet is wearing a pink towel.

I don't know the Pic in the TC book, I don't have the book, but I'm about to go out and buy it, cuz its talked alot about here. On to the book store I go...

On the rolling credits of the episode of "Good Old Reliable Janet" there is an actress who plays a woman named Cindy. I have a photo in my "Come and Knock on my Door Book in either the chapter 2 or three section that shows a woman in a towel in Mr. Roper's apartment, and what Mr. Roper is wearing matches what he was wearing this particular episode. Also between the commercial breaks, it fades in to where Chrissy Larry, and Jack are at the Greek restaurant. I am just wondering.

Yes, the scene with Cindy was cut out. I believe she was one of the people who was sunbathing nude at the beach, and that she came to the Ropers apartment to call her home. Although I haven't seen the uncut version of the episode (I read about the scene somewhere, can't remember where), I think that the picture you're talking about is more than likely from "Good Old Reliable Janet."

Yes, the scene in question is indeed from Good Old Reliable Janet.

In the scene with Cindy and Mr. Roper, Cindy has a towel around her and explains how the nude protest is being raided by the police. At one point, Cindy tells Mr. Roper that it is rather hot in the apartment and if he would mind if she took off her towel and proceeds to do so without waiting for the response. Mr. Roper starts to cover his eyes, thinking she is naked underneath but then both him and the audience notice that she is actually wearing a bathing suit underneath.

IF TBS showed that scene then it's really no argument whether Three's Company is better than N@N when shwing Three's Company.
