I am looking forward to the release of the complete second season DVD of Good Times; I am curious what is everybody's favorite episode/(s) of the second season of this classic, 1970's sitcom?

I might have to wait til I watch all the episodes on the dvd set to refresh my memory of episodes I'd forgotten, but off the top of my head, the most memorable one is "The Gang" with J.J getting shot and James snapping those pretzel sticks, then taking pity on Maddog.

The Gang and the Houseguest! These two are great. When James takes the spoon from Eddie that was funny, and when he took him into the bedroom to spank him and Eddie tried to escape!

Also from the Gang, interaction between Thelma and Maddog:
"My mother took one look at me and named me Thelma, just like your mother looked at you and named you Maddog."

Oh also in this episode Lynn Hamilton does a great job as Maddog's mother.

Does anyone know who played Maddog???

The other episodes are great too!

Now I cannot wait to receive the Second Season DVD..The Gang episode sounds great and it is interesting to know that actress Lynn Hamilton of Sanford and Son fame was in an episode of Good Times...

My favorite episode of Good Times the Second Season is The Dinner Party. I saw that episode last night it was so funny

when the evans elderly friend comes to dinner and she brings the main course which they the evans family all think is dog food

Oh that is so funny! when everyone keeps passing the meatloaf around, and Wilona comes over and finds out who brought the meatloaf.

She is in part two of this episode.

Oh Man..I just opened the DVD box and there is this close up picture of Jimmie Walker; does he put the U in UGLY or what..Why didnt they put a close up picture of either John Amos or BernNadette..the two good-looking actors insetad...

Tara-it's a tie between "Debutante Ball" and "Lunch Money Rip Off". I got my DVD and looking forward to seeing the UNCUT version of Lunch Money Rip off

I have only seen 1ST disc.

Thelma`s young man, is the best on disc 1. It has everything I remember this show for.
