I found my old USA tape with the "Black Eye Affair" episode.
The only thing that's objectionable (And I think it's ridiculous if it's correct) is in the first scene, Antonio walks over to Brian, Fay and Alex and says "Look at my new driver's license picture. I Look like a terrorist." N@N has so far cut out every time someone has said the word "terrorist". Antonio said this while the cast's names were being shown, so maybe N@N couldn't simply cut the line and decided instead to drop the episode. Which is sad, because it's a funny one. And also my tape messes up during the final scene, so I was hoping to re-tape it. |

. Anyway, I just think that Nick is lazy. I mean, they spend their days generating episodes of Bob the Builder, Blue's Clues, Slimetime Live, SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents. By the time the people in the control room at 1515 Broadway get done with that, they're probibly taking a doughnut break and letting a robot run the tapes. |

Something else that they could do is overdub the word "terrorist"....It's done all the time when theatrical movies are shown on network TV....
You've seen it....You KNOW that a character said "Get this piece of S**T out of here" when you saw the film in a theatre, but suddenly it comes out "Get this piece of JUNK out of here" when you're watching it on the ABC Saturday Night Movie. Well, they could do that with the "Black Eye" episode...Have Antonio say, "I look like an IDIOT" or something like that. While I usually HATE the idea and process of overdubbing, if it means NICK being able to show that episode, I'm all for it! |

TNT dubbed over all of 'The Matrix' S words with "Oh Geez!" or "Oh No!". It was actually pretty seemless, but it was funny to hear a few dubbed "Whoa"s out of Neo. |

I'm the queen of researching weird stuff, so no doubt I've looked for 'Network Television Movie Dubbing' on the internet. One of the most legendary censor phrases (at least in the opinion of movie geeks) has to be "Melon Farmer", which substitutes for another "MF" phrase. This was mostly used in censored network aired movies during the late 1980s. It was used in a few action/crime/drama titles and the phrase was used most notably in the network edit of Die Hard. Of course, since then many of the movies have gone through two or three different censor dubs. So, that's where my "I look like a MELON FARMER!" joke came from. Do a search of network movie editing on Google Groups. I learned alot

Isn't there an episode of Roseanne where a couple of them are held hostage by terrorists? I wonder if N@N will air that one. (Of course, I can't believe N@N is even airing Roseanne in the first place. I thought they didn't show that type of stuff.)
I think it's stupid to take out references to terrorists. |

I'm not one for cutting out lines, but the terrorist references that are cut out in Wings, I can understand. David Angel was in one of the planes on Sep. 11 2001.
