Mrs. Garrett in season 7 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know that Mrs. G. doesn't appear (for the most part) during the second half of season 7, but I had forgotten how small her part was even during the first half of the season. She only did a couple of scenes in the El Debarge episode, and only appeared in the last scene during the truck stop episode. I wonder if Charlotte Rae had already told the producers at this point that she intended to leave, and they were slowly phasing her out.
