I get up this morning and what do I see? My family watching TDVD Show. My 11-year-old initiated it, but my wife will read her book and watch at the same time. And this isn't the first time.
The last couple of weekends I have watched two or three episodes in the morning to get the day started off right, and my wife and son will usually watch with me. I have loved TDVD Show since I was a teenager (I am now 39) and they used to show reruns here locally. Obviously it was easy to get hooked. Now I am converting the rest of my family. It is such a great wholesome show that you can't help but like it. I was wondering how many other converts are out there? I also have the first four seasons of M*A*S*H and have gotten my 11-year-old hooked on it as well. Having old TV shows on DVD is great. It's so nice to have an alternative to so many of the bad shows on TV today. |

Up until I got the DVDs, my husband was a casual TDVDS watcher. I was shocked when he didn't know who Lolac was (he asked me about it when he saw my screen name). Since that time, I have been giving him a TDVDS education. The first episode we watched, obviously, was "It May Look Like a Walnut." He loved it! Since then, we have been regularly watching the DVDs together and he loves them! Now he was familiar with some things, for example, when I say "Oh, Rob!" to him, he laughs and knows where it comes from. But I have to say, I had to convert him to be a true fan!
I also have the MASH seasons 1-5 sets. We love those also. My kids love I Love Lucy as well as TDVDS. It is great to have some good shows for them to watch. Lolac

Lolac, this is off-topic, but I have a question regarding Season Five of M*A*S*H. Is this the season that Hot Lips dumps Frank and starts dating Donald Pinopsomething, or is that another season? Thanks.

Season five is when Margaret gets engaged to Donald Penobscott. Frank is still in the show, but it is his last season. In the last episode of the season, Margaret marries Donald. I will buy these sets until Radar leaves the show. In my opinion, that is when MASH jumped the shark.

Thanks Lolac. Season Five is a Jump moment for me, because Frank is just kind of hanging out there to dry, and his poor character gets some bad scripts.
I do like the first couple of seasons with Charles, before everyone becomes buddy-buddy, but after that it was time for them to hang it up. |

Lolac & Burford,
In the spirit of the Super Bowl, I'm afraid I'll have to declare you both "Off Sides!" Steve ![]() Actually, I'm not sure about converts, but I've noticed that I can take the dvd's to work and leave them running almost my entire shift, and no one seems to mind. They get into the episodes! |

sorry.Lolac ![]() By the way, Steve, what kind of job do you have that allows you to take your DVDs to work and play them for long periods of time? I'd like to have a job like that!

My friend is very modern and not at all into classic television. She would rather watch shows like Friends and Will and Grace but I sent her some episodes of DVD and she loved them.
