To me the top 30 seems really good. At least it's not the bottom 30. So to me that makes the show at least semi-successful.

I've ranted about this before, but THIS is why I get so MAD when I constantly hear "Wings" referred to as "that lucky show that had the cushy timeslot after "Cheers" (Thursday at 9:30)....

Just LOOK at how much "Wings" was bounced around the NBC schedule over the years! Actually, it was only aired on Thursdays at 9:30 for a relatively short period over it's entire run....and even with being bounced all around (and sometimes landing in some less-than-ideal time slots), the series was STILL a solid favorite of viewers!

Adam, thanks for posting the entire run of "Wings" line by line, with all of the various day and time changes....it really makes you realize that viewers didn't just watch "Wings" out of habit, or because they were too lazy to change the channel after watching another hit show....The viewers had to WORK and FOLLOW "Wings" around the NBC schedule in order to find it and watch it...and watch it they DID!

So true Pilotguy! Especially when they moved the show to Friday nights, which is usually death for a show like Wings. I thought their ratings were superb considering how much NBC jerked them around. Had the show been left in a prime Thursday night time slot for years, without moving it around, it would have been interesting to see exactly what the ratings would have been like.

Losthighway,

Since you watched the show in it's original run, do you remember what year Wings first went to USA? I'm trying to remember what year it was when I used Wings for a couple months. (I remember it was during the Summer, so I probably watched it on it's second year on USA.)

This question to to anybody who might remember, I just thought I'd address to to Losthighway since he was a fan of Wings back then.

I'm trying to do one of these things:

Wings: NBC 1990 - 1997
Wings: USA 199? - 2001
Wings: N@N 2003 - Present

That's a good question TVAdam. I know it started running on USA while it was still on NBC. I remember Wings picked up a new fan base and more interest when people were watching it on USA. My best guess is that it started running on USA in 1995.

I have TV Guides from the mid 90s and it looks more like it started in 1993 or 1994, because that's what I find in the old, old listings.

Unless I'm mistaken, most shows enter syndication after their fourth season. That would mean it came to USA in fall of 1993, just as season 5 began.

Imagine watching seasons 1-4 over and over again. (Aparently four times a day, from what I've heard.)
