Why does their race matter? Lots of actors don't get enough credit.

of that list, I'd say Lawrence Fishburne, Mekhi Pfeiffer (hell, Eminem referenced him in a song, even tho he COULD'VE used Denzel or someone bigger) and Danny Glover (not so much nowadays, but 10-15 years ago, he was big) get respect in Hollywood.

I also agree with Nirvana, there's plenty of white actors who never get their due either

I agree. Look at Graham Greene. He's an Oneida Indian from the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario, Canada, and he hardly gets any credit at all in Hollywood.

I don't really think we should classify anyone by race (check out the political boards if you REALLY want to know why...) but I think a very under-rated actor is Ernie Hudson. He so should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE. He was amazing in that movie.

I agree. This list looks like "every black actor who isn't as big as Denzel, Eddie or Cuba".

That'd be like someone coming out with a list of white actors, and list everyone except for Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson and Jim Carrey. Most of the people he listed are character actors, and most of them get respect for what they do. People like Don Cheadle and Ving Rhames are the African-American versions of Steve Buscemi.
