Sophia may not be the best mother in the traditional sense, but she's a good mother. She really does love Dorothy, as well as Rose and Blanche. Plus you can't beat her "Picture it, Sicily...." stories

What about Carol Brady? Or June Cleaver? I would vote for them, along with Marion Cunningham and Elyse Keaton and Claire Huxtable and Maggie Seaver and Angela Bower and Ellen Powell (and Julie Pembroke, for that matter- and Lillian) among my favorites.
