I'm not a big fan of UM's UFO cases but the case of Betty Cash, Vicki & Colby Landrum has always interested me. They just showed it a few nights ago. I was doing some research about it and for those of you that don't know, Betty Cash died in 1999 from what they said was "multiple cancer related health complications". The eerie part is she died on the 18th anniversary of their unknown encounter! I don't what the government's is trying to cover up, but I feel sorry for these people because they clearly did suffer from radiation poisoning. Any thoughts?

That's so sad that Betty Cash died, I wonder how the little boy is doing. The doctor in the segment referenced that Colby can't have children as a result of the radiation from the UFO. I'm pretty convinced that these people weren't making up the UFO story because they all got very sick right after the sighting. That story will probably never be solved.

The only thing it said about Vicki and Colby Landrum is that they were both still alive.

I found out (and posted here), that Betty died on December 29, 1998, 18 years to the day of the sighting like you said. You meant 1998 right? It's creepy nonetheless.
Another thing I found out was that Betty was 51 at the time of the sighting (somewhat older than how old I thought she was) and Vicky was only 6 years older. |

This was one of the most interested "Unexplained" cases ever. I am no fan of UFO stories, but this one was very interesting.

The History Channel UFO Hunters Alien Fallout 2009 features a fairly recent interview with Colby Landrum, and Betty's physician

This case has always interested me, because I don;t think it was a UFO they saw but a military device that was being tested.

UFO stands for UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT> Since the object was UNIDENTIFIED.....no one knows 100% for sure what it was, if it was military (They deny it), then it is a "UFO" |

The Bentwater UFO incident happened on the same day too. Hours apart. December 29th, 1980.

I've always believed this was a military device of some sort. It's interesting that she claims a great deal of helicopters were circling / following it; inclines me to wonder if it somehow had gotten off track and needed to be brought back to the base.
The most convincing part for me was the extensive radiation all 3 suffered; you can't fake that (except by maybe giving yourself a zillion x-rays and I doubt anyone's THAT stupid). |

It's terrible the military denied these people even the simplest form of help. They could have just made them sign something, stating they won't speak of what happened, and given them treatment. |
