I agree with EricIdlefan. Too Close For Comfort was a good show. Ted Knight was funny, and so was Nancy Dussault.

It was a good show. But the show got hurt in three ways that was prevented from being a great show. For one, too much emphasis on Lydia Cornell and her body. She is a beautiful actress but the dumb airhead blond act got old too fast and they were continually to dumb her character down like Three's Company did with Chrissy. The second thing was Monroe was so annoying to watch and hear that it took away from the rest of the cast. Then the late in life pregnancy of Muriel Rush. I understand the first season Nancy Dussault was not happy with the lack of development in her character. I can understand why when you are cast as the lead actress but don't do much. It would had been interesting to see more stories on Henry and Muriel's relationship. I like the chemistry been Ted Knight and Nancy Dussault. They looked as though they could had been married in real life. The actress who played Jackie on the show was a far better and acttractive actress than Lydia Cornell. The one thing I did like what they for Nancy Dussault was allow to sing from time to time. Nancy have a powerful singing voice.

Ted Knight is still missed!! Before he passed away on September 1986, he wanted to do a dramatic role but never got the chance because no one would accept him because that Ted Baxter role would always be remembered!!
