SLAYERS OF THE INNOCENT
He was a free spirited young man Of the tender age of 19. He loved to restore motorcycles. Proudly, one day, he took off On his freshly restored '66 Harley, On a dreamy, bright California afternoon. He rode into eternity. He chanced upon two rough looking bikers And an argument commenced. The bikers began to act with violent threats and belligerence. They threatened helpless Gus with chains. Frightened and intimidated, Gus took off. The angry, bloodthirsty bikers followed him Through a torn neighborhood in North San Jose. The bikers caught up with him And coerced him into the garage of a decrepit house. Several more bikers show up, and in the seclusions of that house garage, they beat young Gus horribly- mutilating his innocent flesh. Over the next five days, the bikers tortured him. Over and over and over again. They killed Gus. His mother still cries. His body has never been found. - Written by Eyes of The Nile In Memory of Gus Hoffman |

I seem to remember this case on UM, how did they confirm he was killed without a body? Confession?

What happened is that Gus's mother hired a private investigator that specialized in biker gangs, and he found a woman, who would not reveal her identity because she was afraid for her life, and she confessed that she knew that Gus was dead.

Eyes of the Niles, that poem is so touching, I nearly cried when I read it. Thank you for posting the poem, you have a wonderful gift to be able to express yourself through poetry. Even though Gus disappeared over 25 years ago but he shouldn't be forgotten.
