Question Sams' maiden name

Does anyone remember Sams' maiden name? I seem to gravitate to "Grop"? when trying to dredge the name out of my memory banks.

I believe Darrin asked Sam once, and Endora told him that he would never be able to pronounce it.

Post I never wonder what it was.

No never call her mother by her last name so we never really knew what it was.

Post You would think so

You would think so he should know the girl is dating her full name.

I remember reading somewhere that her maiden name was Dobson. Although I don't recall hearing it mentioned on the show.

The Name Hobson never appeared in the show itself, rather
it was in a Book Written in 1965 by Al Hine called Bewitched ,
that was based on the show itself,so it doesn't really count as only the TV show can be taken as being apart of the Real Bewitched re Determinations on the Premis & the Characters on the show.

The answer that witches don't have last names is so untrue. Dr. Bombay, Bombay is a weird first name.

The actor who plays Maurice in the show is Maurice Evans! Maybe Sam's maiden name is Evans? Maurice Evans, Endora Evans, Samantha Evans. Has a slight ring, wouldn't you say?

According to the post above, Endora did say "you will never be able to pronounce it" but not to Samatha's maiden name. She was referring to Endora's real first name when Darrin and she met for the first time. Darrin was asking what to call her and she replied "You'll never be able to pronounce it....just call me Endora."

Also, according to the official Bewitched book, Samatha's maiden name was never mentioned throughout the entire series.

I sort of thought that Samantha did not have a last name?

I just rewatched the episode and it is in reference to Endora's last name. Endora asks Darrin why he objects to Samantha using witchcraft. He begins to reply saying, "I don't object, Mrs..." in a way that he was asking what to call her. She then said that he'd never be able to pronounce it (referring to her last name) and said to call her Endora.
