what year id Hd go into cindi cation and whcih season did ti start to go bad

Happy Days went into syndication in the fall of 1979. Strangely enough, my local station started airing it from the beginning of the third season, showing the first two seasons after they ran through season six.

As for when HD went bad, it would be the eighth season (1980-81)...the beginning of a long, torturous decline.

When Nick At Nite showed the reruns, they seldom if ever showed anything after season seven. Not a bad way to watch it, IMO.

I don't think HD ever went bad. I love the 8th season along with the 9th, 10th and 11th. Even though I've only seen one episode from the 10th season.

I agree, although it had a few low points, Happy Days never was actually BAD. Each season had something Special to it in my Opinion.

Yeah, my local station did the same thing. When a show goes through a major change, as HD did at the beginning of the third season, it's not unusual for stations to start reruns with the beginning of the format that's most familiar to the audience. When "Cagney & Lacey" went into syndication, many stations started with the episodes featuring Sharon Gless as Cagney, airing the Meg Foster (who preceded Gless in the role) episodes later on.

My local station really mixes the episodes, one night it'll have Roger and then the next it shows Richie. I really don't care, I just glad it's on when I'm home at night.
