Did anyone notice that in several episodes AFTER graduation, Bubba does a science project, joins the swim team AND goes to the prom and he also studies for a final in the jeopardy episode?

I think all of those events occur when he is in college. I could be wrong though.......

![]() If you were listening closely, you would have remembered that after Bubba finished HS, he went on right to Raytown Junior College.

Except for the prom. And yes, if he was in night school how did he qualify to go to the prom? Another blooper?

To me, anyway you look at it, there is some chronological issues in season 4. In the Hawaii episodes, Bubba was studying for Mr. Hanson's night school final. However, they had graduated a few episodes before this. I know of no college that has a prom at all and the episode about the prom took place after the graduation. I am in college so I should know. It is almost like the producers did the graduation episode and then were like, oh we forgot about all of these other good storylines we could have gotten out of Bubba's high school experience. This is just how I see it. At first I thought TBS just showed some out of order (as networks often do), however this was not the case. They SHOULD show them out of order for the right chronological order to take place.

I think some high schools have their graduation ceremonies early, before they're actually done with classes---so possibly they could have prom as their last acitivty, too.
But then again, MF's always had continuity errors in the chronological airing of episodes---they air "Alien Marriage" (where Vint is single and gonna marry Zenaida [sp]) after he's already been married to Naomi for a handful of episodes---and Naomi's shocked that he's gonna get married. No sense at all. Then in syndication, they air "Soup to Nuts" first, before "Farewell Frannie"---which is where Bubba 'n Iola first enter the picture, so first-time viewers would be like, "Huh? " if they watch (same way with what I described above). For some weird reason, they were even aired this way in their original runs! *sigh* Weird... |

Your right maybe he forgot to do other things about Bubba and decided to go back and do these episodes but don't episode layouts get done way before the episode is filmed. It doesn't make sense to me. That's what I though I though TBS was showing them out of order like alot of networks do with re-runs.

I never felt like Bubba's education was ever fully explained on the show...I mean, he was probably in about...10th or 11th grade the first season he joined, then it was like the next season he was already graduated and into college for the rest of the show...

Your right they don't talk about Bubba's education but from what we see Bubba wasn't that smart he had a low gpa remember in the graduation episoda Bubba got a lower grade point average then mama. He bearly got though high school.

I just watched the graduation episode. To those of you who have the tape................. Look at the girl sitting next to Bubba in the audience. She looks so much like Laurie Metcalf(Jackie on Roseanne) I took another look and I don't think it is her (her face is thinner) but she sure does look like her! Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
