Post Columbia House

Sorry if someone already posted this...

The Facts of Life is now listed on http://www.columbiahouse.com
There isn't much information yet, but there will be soon, according to them.

The introductory video has 2 episodes, and is $4.95 plus shipping and handling with subscription.

Future volumes are $19.95 each plus shipping and handling, and it isn't available on DVD-yet.

I have a question for you all --
Which episodes are in the introductory video ?
I thought that whatever first video you bought was $4.95, but I guess they have a particular "introductory video".

Will the series be out on DVD?

That's one of the reasons I haven't ordered the videos yet. If there's a chance they'll be out on DVD, I can wait.

I e-mailed Columbia House and asked them if they plan on releasing The Facts of Life on DVD. They sent me a list of their current DVD titles, and said that right now they don't know if they are going to release it on DVD.

It might just be me, but I think that if they get enough requests to release The Facts of Life on DVD, they just might.
(Since they would know there's a demand, and people are willing to buy them.) I haven't bought the VHS ones, because I'm waiting for the DVD's.

The Obsolete Man : (or anyone else)
Something tells me that if CH does put FOL on DVD, there's only going to be 4 episodes on a DVD, and no special features. Don't you think they should put more episodes on DVD's since they are more expensive ?

E-mail CH and ask for FOL to be put on DVD and for more episodes on the DVD's, and also some special features !

I dont think they would add extra episodes just for the DVD ones.

Well, actually, DVDs usually do have more episodes and special features. When you pay for a DVD, besides the print and sound being perfect, you also get some great bonuses that VHS tapes don't have. And, at the price they charge per DVD, it wouldn't be too much to ask for a couple extra episodes.

Somebody who works for Columbia House posted on the General Sitcoms and Discussion board that there are no plans for FOL or DS to be released on DVD.

BTW, FOL is listed under 'T' on the Columbia House section under Comedies instead of 'F'...

Has anybody received ANY tapes from them yet? The wait for them is crazy.
