Sanford and Son. The ABC Sitcom that premeired in 1974 lasted until December of 1975. I never saw the Show but I curious to know why it could not do as good as the other 3 Hit Shows-Jeffersons, Good Time, and Sanford and Son. Anyone who seen That's My Mama, feel free to reply.

Well since you can't say why it stunk, that's lets me know you never saw the show. |

The jokes weren't very good. Mind you, it's been years since I saw it, but the show as a whole was a flop.

I thought it was a great show. It was like the Jeffersons and Goodtimes probably a little better than Goodtimes

Quite honestly, I didn't find it funny either. The jokes were thin. Poor writing, I guess.
Sorry, but I just gotta do it: "You all know him as Joe The Policeman from the "What's Goin' Down?" episode of That's My Mama. Give it up for Mr. Randy Watson!" "That boys good!" -Coming To America |

I don't specifically remember the mailman. I saw a few eps of this when we first got cable tv in this area, almost 20 years ago. I found the plots and writing to be very thin, and didn't watch much. I've never seen it since, nor do I have any desire to run out and try to find it.

Yeah, but I think the mailman then all of a sudden became a barber, which didn't make much sense.

Well my guess is he must have been funny so they decided to give him a bigger role in season 2 by giving him a role as a barber. |

I think that was the problem though, he was only funny in small spurts.
