Question I froze my Fresca... question

I bought a 2 liter of Fresca on Friday, and my bad habit is to leave everything in my car. And.. it froze. Its inside now and slowly defrosting. What I need to know is, when it defrosts, is it still gonna be bubbly.. or will it be all flat and nasty?

IT will probably be flat. My daughter left her KFC Dr. Pepper cup in the car last night and it exploded in the drink holder from the cold. Yuck.

I didn't bring a 2-liter of soda, but this is kinda related, as it was a can of Fresca, and it was in the kitchen freezer. This was circa 2000, and my mom's and my habit is, when we're stocking the fridge with lukewarm sodas and if we want one soon, we put one soda can in the freezer for about 1/2 hour. Well, my mom did that with her Fresca, forgot about it and it was in there overnight! The next morning, my sis found it, and the ends had puffed out (it didn't explode), so that you could no longer put it down normally...My sis told me we were going to open that can together, so we stood over the sink, opened it together and the Fresca exploded in our faces! I've never heard such a loud explosion from a can of soda since then.

But to answer your question...most likely flat.

We HAD to throw out the Fresca...we weren't just going to let it sit there and thaw it out.
