I've been wondering about Jeff for a while...Tootie began dating him in season 5, right? And then they became engaged in season 9, but where was he the rest of the time? Did she dump him, or were they dating all that time?

Well...In season 6 in the episode "My Boyfriend's Back" Jeff started college and Tootie was still in high school. Their relationship wasn't the same and they decided to break up. Then in season 8 in the episode Cupid's Revenge (I think) Jeff visited from college and Tootie and Jeff rekindled their relationship and it went on from there. Hope this helps.
