It airs sporadically on TV Land CANADA, but not in the US. I think Pavanbadal can better answer this question. I could have sworn it airs on a local station in Chicago, but I'm not sure. Right now, in the US, it's not on a cable channel, and probably VERY sparsely in local synd.
I think TV Land needs to bring it back. I like the Brady Bunch and all, but how many times can you watch the same 117 episodes over and over again. Happy Days at 8:00am and L&S at 8:30am would be great. TV Land did air L&S from January-June 2002. Prior to that, it aired on Nick@Nite from July 6, 1998-October 6, 2001, and even prior to that it aired on TBS from (August 29, 1987-February 10, 1989) (September 2, 1989-March 3, 1990) (September 1, 1990-January 20, 1991) (May 25, 1991-August 30, 1991) (September 18, 1993-October 10, 1993) (May 28, 1994-August 30, 1998). LOL. I have a TBS/TV Land/Nick@Nite log, so I can easily pull all the info... what can I say? I get bored, lol. |

Yes, Laverne & Shirley airs in Canada on TV Land Canada.
As for the United States, it doesn't air nationally on any cable channel, as TVJunkie101 said. It only airs in TWO cities right now on local syndication. A CBS in South Bend, Indiana--WSBT. And Chicago, like TVJunkie101 said, WFBT ME-TV. |

TVJunkie 101, I'd put HD & L&S in better time slots. HD at 5:00pm and 9:00pm weeknights, with L&S right after that. That way, I can get home from college to see them both, as they're the top two favorites on my list.

<-at tvland (it has 255 episodes, IMO, it needs 2 airings a day; I feel shows over 200 episodes should be aired twice a day, lol). I'd love to see L&S in primetime again, but I honestly don't see TV Land picking up again anytime soon, but I guess you never know.

When Laverne & Shirley first aired in 2002, I taped every eppie TVLand aired, and a good thing too, considering it only lasted five months. I would like to see L&S back on the network, but it looks like they won't for quite some time.

Although Pav posted the news above, it's kind of ironic we start this thread and Laverne and Shirley is coming to Lifetime, of all places. I never expected that.
