Thinking about the other supporting characters on Sanford and Son, it was a repeat of the same insult when it came to
Grady-dumb Eather-Ugly Bubba-dumb But when Rollo hit the scene, it was completely different because Fred was more creative with his insults. Here are the examples Rollo asked Fred how he was Feeling, Fred told hm i feel with my hands like I always did Rollo asked Fred how things are going, Fred said well crime may go down 50%, Rollo said why, Fred said because you are inside Rollo greets Fred when he returns from Saint Louis, Fred responds with Zip, Bam Boom, someone get this n###ger out of my room So you see how it was always something different that came out Fred's mouth when he insulted Rollo. All he ever said to Esther was you are ugly and Grady and Bubba was stupid. Rollo should have been seen more than Esther. |

Fred: I thought up a new TV show for you and me. Rollo: Yeah, what's it called? Fred: "Rollo Derby" (raising roller skate) - it's where I skate all over your face. -------- Rollo: Hey pops - what it is? Fred: Ask your momma what it is! |

The comic interaction between Fred and Rollo was hilarious; I loved the one liners that Fred gave to Rollo, and the reaction that Rollo gave back, you could tell that Nathaniel Taylor was cracking up in real life...Classic TV at it's BEST....

you can tell by Rollos improv dialect that he was more familiar with street lingo that of the other characters...there are also some voice overs where Rollo cusses accidently
