I know the TV show gave the reason for why she left that she "went to africa w/ her husband" but why did she leave in real life? Like what was her reason for leaving the show?

I don't think she wanted to see Mrs. G's role in the girls' lives deminish - and they were getting to the age where they dind't really need the mother figure anymore, so she left.

Unfortunetly, I know the real reason why she left. She was bored of playing Mrs. Garret...

After the things I've witnessed and learned through emails to me, I have a different view of why she left: She had exhausted her original purpose, and the masses were not grasping the character's actual intent.
