Hopefully this makes it on the air next fall:
Yasbeck Joins New TV Project Amy Yasbeck (NBC's "Wings") has been tapped to play the mother in Fox's pilot "Related by Family," about two very different teenagers forced to live under the same roof when their parents remarry. She joins Matthew Glave, who was previously cast as the father. This past development season, Yasbeck co-starred in the pilot for the WB Network's series "Like Family." Her credits also include the feature film "The Mask." |

I hope it goes well for her, although I have a problem with FOX, so I won't be watching until it comes into syndication or DVD.

Amy has been cast for another FOX pilot, this time an animated series. Now, if her sitcom and this animated series BOTH make it on the air this fall, that would be REALLY great. I hope at least one of these projects for her on FOX makes it on the air. Here is the info on the new animated project:
"Untitled Animated Phil Hendrie Show" Amy Yasbeck ("Wings"), Sarah Silverman ("Greg The Bunny"), Nat Faxon ("Grosse Pointe") and Neil Flynn ("Scrubs") have been added to the voice cast of the animated comedy pilot, which revolves around the life of radio personality Phil Hendrie ("Gated World"). The pilot presentation tracks Hendrie's character who after landing a gig in a major market, ends up marrying a woman with three children and moving into a gated suburban community. Steven Levitan ("Just Shoot Me") and Phil Lord & Chris Miller ("Clone High, U.S.A.") are behind the project, which comes from 20th Century Fox Television. The Hendrie project is one of four animated presentations under consideration by FOX for next season (the others being Seth MacFarlane's "American Dad," the small screen version of comic strip "The Boondocks" and an untitled project from the "Dr. Katz" team of Jonathan Katz and Tom Synder). FOX is expected to give a series order to at least one of the projects shortly in order to provide its respective producers enough lead time to make a 2004-05 season start. |

Good for her! Work will help her heal her pain after John's death. I'm sure it's still probably very hard for her, even 5 months later.

It's actually a spoof of "legitimate" radio call-in shows, with Phil playing himself AND the guests (both male and female). The whole thing is one big put-on, and you can't really tell that Phil's playing both parts unless you listen to the guest's voice VERY closely..... The FUNNIEST part is when listeners call in to talk with Phil and the "guest", and they don't realize that it's a put-on, and start furiously berating the "guest" for his or her OUTRAGEOUS stand on an issue (which are outrageous on PURPOSE, just to inflame the innocent, unsuspecting listeners). While it may not appeal to everyone, I think that Phil Hendrie and his radio show are a RIOT!

I hope they don't cut her show off like they did with Keen Eddie. Fox didn't even give that show a chance and it was already bringing in a fanbase. Usually the show will be a hit if it premieres after The Simpsons, such as Bernie Mac, Malcolm in the Middle and King of the Hill.
Then again... Ned & Stacey and Futurama premiered after The Simpsons, both got shifted around and then died a slow, painful death.
