Question Final ep. UNDERhype

Which shows do you believe did not get their fair share of publicity when they ended and just plainly vanished into thin air? Besides The Wonder Years (like I stated in the "final ep. overhype" thread), I believe the following shows exhibited the same characteristics as the proverbial tree falling in an uninhabited forest:

Coach, 1997
Family Matters, 1998
Our House, 1988
Perfect Strangers, 1993
Step By Step, 1998

I agree with all of those, plus I'll add:

NewsRadio, 1999 (Great show. The final episode was listed as the "Season Finale", and then just never came back.)

Married ... With Children, 1997 (Whether you like it or not, it helped make FOX a successful network, and they just tossed it aside.)

Wings, 1997 (Great show which ended maybe a season later than it should have, but still a great show.)

Full House, 1995 (I grew up with this show and it deserved a better send-off.)

even tho the show was huge.... Roseanne.

Twice as many people watched Helen Hunt give birth on Mad About You that night, same timeslot, than the final episode of Roseanne. For a show that was as big and long-running as Roseanne, it SHOULD'VE gotten the proper sendoff similar to that of Mash, Cheers, Cosby or Seinfeld and how it's going to be with Friends, but instead it wound up second in ratings IN IT'S TIMESLOT, next to freaking Mad About You. Just imagine the final episode of Friends coming in second in it's own timeslot, and that's the way it was with the last Roseanne

"Mary Tyler Moore" was the one that started the final episode thing in the first place in 1977, so I would say any show that ended before then.

Like Balki Bartokomous used to say, W-w-w-wow! What a great thought, BuffySlayer79! It would be awesome to have the finale of that show (which I think is the most OVERRATED ) be upstaged by something else!!!

Murphy Brown, 1998- Lost in the shadow of "Seinfield" Murphy Brown ended a ten-year run with little publicity and even smaller ratings. It makes me sad to think that a show as funny, original, creative and just plain amazing as "Murphy Brown" starring 5x Emmy-Winner Candace Bergin could just go off the air without any sort of fan-fare of even media attention.

Also-

The Nanny, (1999, i think?)- Once on of CBS's Biggest hits, the network let the show run its course and then the show left the air without so much as a media interview.

Dr. Quinn Medicien Women- CBS really jumped the gun on this one... It was still a solid ratings winner and a critical hit and they just canceled it for sort of no reason. In fact the cancelation was so shocking that CBS recieved letters from THOUSANDS of angry fans demanding they bring the show back. CBS's answer? two reunion movies.

Touched By An Agnel- Okay so this series had lost its ratings luster and was desting for cancelation, but you think it could have at least sparked some sort of hype.

I agree, Touched was about 4-5 years out of it's prime by the time it ended, but you'd figure it'd have had some sort of farewell hype, because 9 years is a really long and fruitful run for any series, and it went out with a whimper.
