WHAT???? That episode is so funny. You didn't laugh at Archie's reaction when he first noticed the OLD MAN?-LOL That episode is very funny.

ANY episode with Frank Lorenzo. He's been on the last few nights, and I can stand him less and less. What a silly fuss-pot. He's like Felix Unger, but at least Felix was often very funny, and his whole persona was based upon his many 'eccentricities,' such as his opera singing, gourmet cooking, art-loving, etc. The Felix character just worked, seeing as how "annoying" was his whole shtick, whereas, I don't think Frank's character was really meant to be such a pest. The guy just rubs me the wrong way. I mean, I realize he's supposed to be yet another foil for Archie, but so are all of the Jeffersons, Edith's relatives and Irene, but I don't find any of them objectionable. A couple of nights ago he was sulking like a 2 year old because Archie didn't want to eat his vichyssoise. UGH.

I think it was part one or two of Where's Archie. It was too much Edith and Gloria without Mike and Archie and it was killing me-LOL

The most annoying AitF I remember was (I think) one of the latter ones not long before Mike and Gloria moved away. It was a flashback to the night they first met. By that time the show was well past its best years and had become just a parody of itself, so maybe they thought they 'might as well' do one like that. Anyway, Gloria and a girlfriend are staying alone in the Bunker house and the gf immediately wants to start calling 'boys' to get them to come over, and Gloria doesn't even understand why. "Gloria, are you still a virgin???" her friend asks. The friend calls an older guy, who knows Mike and tries to get him to come along and meet the friend of one of his girlfriends, but Mike, dressed in a tie-dyed T and a peace symbol around his neck, says he's going to join a group picketing Nixon's inaugural ball (this would have made the time Jan., 1969). But then he goes anyway to the house, and he and Gloria are left alone, and Gloria doesn't quite know what to do... and I'm not even sure how it ends, except Gloria mentions her 'daddy' and Mike says something like, "Sounds like a good man, your father."

It's annoying because they are much too old by that time to look the parts of 18 and 21 (or close to that), and it's overacted as well as dorky; Mike says his candidate for president was Eldridge Cleaver, and Gloria shows such a little girl's mind to be playing 18 when she was close to 30.

Oh no Where's Archie gave Jean Stapleton room to turn in a powerful performance. The first part brought tears to my eyes.

the most annoying, as well as my least favorite episode, was the one with Mike's "son". It made absolutely no sense and was very far fetched. The writers must have thought it would be a cool idea, but couldn't make it work, or come together at all in a half-hour time slot.

They weren't fighting over the wig. They were fighting over the feelings the wig aroused in Mike. Gloria was "jealous of her own wig." And the whole matter is resolved with Mike's heartfelt confession that no matter what she wore, or had on her head, it was HER that turned him on. One of those "awwwwww" moments...

I enjoyed that episode. I can see why Gloria was upset. Mike wanted her to wear the wig all the time and i guess Gloria started to feel like-Well Damm, does he even like the real Gloria?-LOL
