This is probably a really dumb question, but does anyone know if it is possible to take out commercials on a VHS? For example, if I was to tape something over night, without being able to pause before commercials, would it be possible to edit the commercials out when they're already recorded onto the tape?

Unfortunately, you can't. Only if you re-recorded it with a second VCR. Sorry.

In a way it is possible to take out commercials. I have a Go-Video, and if you record something, you have the option of "marking" the video so that for playback it'll fastforward through the commercials.
