I AM SHOCKED! This past weekend I was flipping through those channels you never go through on the satellite dish, and was SHOCKED that I saw The Lucy Show.
Not sure about any other satellite, but on Dish Network, it is on the channel called "FamilyNet", channel 9414. I have America's Top 150, and I get the channel, so I guess most people get it. I have to check the website to see when exactly it was on, but it was a color episode. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Adam |

I went to the FamilyNet website:
http://www.familynet.com/content/Pro...?ProgramId=216 Just copy that link, and you'll find The Lucy Show. It airs: Wednesday-4:30PM Saturday-3:30AM I'll have my VCR going! Adam |

All the episodes shown on Family Net are the 30 or so public domain episodes that everyone shows because there are no royalty fees on them.
They are the same ones shown on Urban America TV and quite a few other "small" satelllite channels. Somehow when it was time to renew the copyrights on these particular episodes, someone slipped up and didn't do it. Therefore, any TV channel can buy the episodes and never pay a per run fee. |

Family Net is NOT available to everyone who gets Dish Network.
Could it be a local TV station that airs that service? I know there are a number low powered local TV stations that do air some vintage sitcoms and dramas such as the Mothers-In-Law, The Goldbergs, and the Fugitive with David Jansen. By law these stations have to be carried on Dish Network at Direct TV. I tried to tune them in and all I get is Boston's UPN station WSBK. I thought it was "D-Star" which is located in the 9000 range but they are pretty much an all religious channel. Most of the other channels in that area carry educational, international or alternative programs such as "Lesbian Today Magazine" or "How to speak French". |

Wow I'm glad you told me that the episodes of The Lucy Show they are broadcasting ae just the 30 some odd ones we all have on VHS/DVD.
I have Dish Everything but you have to get a 2nd antenna to get those other religious stations like FamilyNet, AND pay an additional $9 or something a month (I'm already paying $95 a month for DISH Everything). At one point I was seriously thinking of getting it but I'm glad I didn't. I have all 156 episodes of the Lucy Show but do believe one year soon they will come out with season sets of THE LUCY SHOW. It wasn't really THAT long ago that The Lucy Show was shown fairly regularly in the rerun circuit (the entire series), but I have no idea why it has lost its appeal over the last 15-20 years or so. I think it may be that I LOVE LUCY has overshadowed all the other subsequent Lucy Shows, including HERE'S LUCY. Yes FamilyNet is the best of those religious stations as regarding old reruns of shows. I think they carry such obscure shows as My Little Margie, I Married Joan, Meet Corliss Archer(!!!) and Annie Oakley. |

A)Subscribe to the SkyAngel programming Package B)Have an affiliate within your DMA (Market Area) that is affiliated with the FamilyNet service. That station must also be broadcasting as part of your locals package (And, since FamilyNet affils are always lower-power 2nd-tier stations, you'll probably need a 2nd dish) |
