Question about Mrs.G's early departure? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching my recorded episode of Tootie's graduation, and I noticed that Mrs.G came back to Peekskill from Wisconsin for Tootie's graduation. Could someone please tell me why she had gone to Wisconsin, and what episode did she leave to Wisconsin in. I was very confused about this, I must have missed this episode. Thanks!

I think she went with Mr. Gaines, her boyfriend to Wiscosin, Appleton to be exact, and then in "Out Of Peekskill" they got married. I think that she went to Wisconsin in one of the episodes directly after "Doo-Wah".

She went to Wisconsin to visit her sister who was going through a painful divorce. I do not remember the name of the episode, but in the one where the police were holding a stakeput at the shop, they said that was where she was going.

During season 6, Charlotte Rae's contract allowed her to miss a few episodes toward the end of the season. During season 7, I believe she only signed for 13 episodes, which is why she's missing during the latter half of the season. Then she left entirely after doing the first two episodes of season 8.
