Cool The Christmas Present - The Pen

I've been waiting to get my pics back to post this. Photo is horrible but you'll get the point.
I could prob get a pic off their site, but this is my pen.

So... I shnit you not, I actually got The Pen as a Christmas present!

It is the one, the Fisher [Official] Space Pen. This thing is real... it's been in space & to the top of Mt Everest. Heck, they claim it has a 100 year shelf life.

The funny part is, this thing one bitchen pen. I see why Jer thought it was cool. It writes pretty much like no other pen I've used, the ink is in pressurized cartridges allowing it to do all it's fancy [upside-down/underwater] tricks. It writes great over those slippery or greasy surfaces like on certain labels, those spots where you can't get your pen to write on when your out & trying to jot down a number or something.
Smoooooth baby.....

Any-hoo, this is not an ad ... I'm just still crackin' up that I got this thing & that it is so bitchen.
Too funny, the Mrs Maestro thought of a good one there.

"True story.... true story"
To funny here too; I was buying a motorcycle at a local dealer, I hand the salesman The Pen.
The guy actually says to us "Is this the [space] pen from Seinfeld?"
My wife says "yes"
In a couple of minutes, the guy (I'm not kidding!) keeps sayin' to me: "Man, this is a nice pen, is it the one that writes upside down?"
I was so focused on the bike deal, this guy keeps it up until he goats me into saying "Take the pen!
We go back & forth on the 'take the pen.... I can't" bit.
It was hilarious, too funny to get a guy that would pull that off.

He gave my pen back, & needless to say, made the sale on the bike

Hahaha..that is too funny. I don't think I've ever reinacted a scene from Seinfeld like that. I would like to try using that phone company line Seinfeld used, asking if he could call him back later, at his home phone.

well, i have tried to do that phone thing. But the problem is that all of my telemarketers are guys from India or Palistan. I always try it but they go, uh, uh, uh, Helo in their foreign voice. Then i feel bad and let em off.

Default Kudos to Ms. Stro

I didnt know they made those pens. Your wife was like "The nerve of that guy trying to take your pen." That is funny. How did the guy know it was a Space pen? Is there a little picture of Jack Klompas on it?

I really didn't know they made them either, that's why I was cracking up when I got it... clever gift (for me).

The wife thought she was not in top form as she didn't pick up on the 'scene' as quick as usual, prob thinking about our purchase too. We've had other scenarios we've had fun with on purpose, but this was a blast because I got it back, the sales guy initiated throwin' Sein references to the maestro

When I handed it to the salesmen for him to use for a second, he used it, & then took a close look at it, it say's it [small] on the side, & then he just asked. It's sort of an industrial type pen & it's a little different, & they guy was surely a huge fan of the show, he was pretty good with the bit.

I tried the phone thing too. It doesn't seem to work for me though. Cool Pen 'stro.

I have to admit that is a very thoughtful gift for a Sein nut such as yourself.

Cool

Someone that knows I have The Pen just sent me this:

>>>When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball- point pens would not work in zero gravity.
To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C.

The Russians used a pencil!

Enjoy paying your taxes -- they're due again.<<<
